Cleanups are very eye opening and helpful for the environment. Trash can be found anywhere throughout the community. Take some time, get some friends together and do a great deed!

Friends of the Rappahannock is proud to announce the approval of funding from the Chesapeake Bay Office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for one of their most sought after education funding awards – the B-WET grant (Bay Watershed Education and Training).

At the River’s Edge Outdoor Environmental Education Program
ATRE provides students with interactive, outdoor science and history education opportunities. Our goal is to give teachers and students a safe, fun, hands-on experience that will inspire respect and stewardship for the Rappahannock and its watershed. Our curriculum is aligned with the VA Standards of Learning and National Science Standards and includes programs suitable for preschool through high school and beyond.
